WHAT IS THE LIVE IN MDE EVENT SERIES?
The Live In MDE event series offers a space for individuals to gather and exchange perspectives, experiences, and expertise in person. These events constitute a series created by El Poblado MDE to serve two significant purposes: highlighting the voices and thought leadership of the community while acting as a point of contact for the locals and beyond.

Our platform serves as a bridge between local businesses, individuals, products, and their target audiences. With a dedicated local and global team of experts and creatives, El Poblado MDE is committed to developing high-quality, bespoke content that activates your brand, service, and business.
Since its creation, El Poblado MDE has also served as a dedicated platform for embracing and showcasing the vibrant culture and dynamic community that continues to flourish in the evolving El Poblado neighborhood.
Driven by the desire to do more and realize the opportunities that can arise from bringing together this amazing community, which has grown both digitally and through the numerous encounters that the El Poblado MDE Team has had throughout this journey, Live In MDE Event Series was born.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE LIVE IN MDE EVENT SERIES?
The vision for Live In MDE was clear: to create a series of events aimed at providing a space for diverse individuals and groups.
Our events aim to immerse the community in an environment that allows them to learn about the environment and social challenges surrounding them through a panel of experts from diverse local and international sectors. Our purpose is also to connect people and provide entertainment through various activities and entertainers present at the event, as well as offer refreshments and nourishment thanks to our numerous local partners providing delicious food and drinks.
Live In MDE caters to a diverse audience, welcoming a range of participants who share a common interest in El Poblado and its vibrant community. This includes residents and local businesses within El Poblado and the broader Medellín area, university students seeking to connect with their surroundings, expatriates seeking a sense of belonging in their new home, travelers looking to experience the local culture, and professionals hailing from various industries such as real estate, hospitality, retail, communications, design, entertainment, and more. International executives also find value in the dynamic environment and networking opportunities that Live In MDE provides. In essence, Live In MDE unites a broad spectrum of individuals, creating a unique way for connections, conversations, and community engagement.

LIVE IN MDE 1: Celebrating the Spirit of Community Branding
50 individuals were in attendance for Live In MDE 1 including students of the University of Medllín, business owners of El Poblado, and more!
The Live In MDE event series began with Live In MDE 1: Celebrating the Spirit of Community Branding at Masaya Events Hall in El Poblado, Medellín on April 27th, 2023.
Combining an engaging panel discussion, composed of Universal Admedia Experts, creatives, and business professionals, with a networking session and delightful food and beverages provided by Masaya, the event offered community members, including students and professionals, the opportunity to meet in person for the first time, learn more about the mission of El Poblado MDE and the Live In MDE Event Series, and engage in fruitful conversations.
The panel featured industry professionals both within and beyond the creative realm. The panelists included: M Aroonrut, Creative Director for both El Poblado MDE and Universal Admedia, Prim Amatayakul, Design Director of El Poblado MDE and Universal Admedia, Shérine Grun, Social Media Manager for both El Poblado MDE and Universal Admedia, Luisa Restrepo, Content Producer of El Poblado MDE and Universal Admedia , Santiago Molina, content creator most notably known as Santiago Discover, and Jean Sebastian de Lacaze, former General Manager at 23 Hotel, now General Manager of Masaya.
Live In MDE 1 was dedicated to uniting the El Poblado community to gain insights into the impacts and significance of community branding for both El Poblado and the wider Medellín community.
LIVE IN MDE 2: Celebrating the Power of Entertainment Branding in El Poblado
75 individuals experienced Live In MDE 2 including university students, business owners of El Poblado, and stakeholders within the entertainment industry!
Following the success of the inaugural Live In MDE event, we quickly followed it up with Live In MDE 2: Celebrating the Power of Entertainment Branding in El Poblado on August 31st, 2023, held once again at the Masaya Events Hall.
The second edition delivered yet another captivating and enriching event that brought the community together to explore the world of entertainment branding and its significance within the El Poblado neighborhood. Featuring a panel discussion with seasoned professionals from the entertainment sector, attendees had the valuable opportunity to engage with panelists and gain insights into this ever-evolving industry. The panel discussion was moderated by Jazmín Cañas, a Medellín-based radio announcer and content creator, and included panelists, Víctor Hugo, General Manager at Plaza Mayor Medellín, Isabel Garcés, singer, songwriter, and voice actor most notably known for her role in Disney’s Encanto, Dora Vélez, Director of Development and Commercial Management for the Medellín Museum of Modern (MAMM), and Jean Paul Egred, Creative Director for Fury Records SAS in Medellín.
What set this edition apart from the previous one was the addition of highly appreciated entertainment elements, including live music, a DJ booth, and a temporary tattoo session made available to our attendees.
With an exceptional panel discussion, delightful beverages provided by our esteemed brand partners, and outstanding entertainment, the night proved to be an unforgettable experience for all who attended. People left the event with newfound insights, valuable connections, and exciting opportunities.
LIVE IN MDE 3: Celebrating the Power of Global Community
Live In MDE 3 is expected to draw in over 150 guests including global residents of El Poblado, university students, local business owners, and visitors from around the globe!
Now, El Poblado MDE is eagerly looking forward to the highly anticipated third edition of the event series, Live In MDE 3: Celebrating the Power of Global Community, to close out 2023 with a bang.
Scheduled to take place at the iconic Medellín Museum of Modern Art on November 11th, 2023, the event will once again feature a thought-provoking panel discussion.
However, that's not all. Attendees will also have the amazing opportunity to indulge in Colombia's delicious cuisine, including a variety of dishes and drinks from our brand partners, and explore the artistic heritage of Medellín through a curated selection of local vendors offering unique artisanal creations. Plus, the night wouldn’t be complete without the captivating beats of our talented DJ Moe, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the experience, and our attendees having the opportunity to capture memorable moments with friends and fellow attendees with the Photo Booth.
